The candidates are newcomer Christopher Foley and incumbents George Melick and William Mennen IV.
Christopher Foley is seeking to replace either William Mennen IV or George Melick on the Hunterdon County Board of Freeholders.All three Republicans tout themselves as fiscally conservative and focused on keeping taxes in check. The primary is June 8.
Foley, 49, of Lebanon, is a recently retired Flemington police officer. Melick, 73, is a ninth-generation farmer who lives in Tewksbury Township. Mennen, a 43-year-old attorney, also lives in the township.
