Larsen and Hosford are from Hunterdon County. Baker is from Union County.

U.S. Rep. Leonard Lance is facing a Republican primary challenge from three candidates in the 7th Congressional District.

David Larsen, a Tewksbury Township resident who has never held elected office, is confident he can beat the incumbent June 8.
"Washington needs someone who will do what they say, and I will do what I say and do what is right," Larsen said.
Larsen said Lance, sworn into office in January 2009, has become a Washington insider and cannot be trusted.

Bruce W. Baker, another of Lance's challengers, said his displeasure with the congressman's "cap and trade" vote inspired him to run for office.
The Westfield, N.J., resident said he's "disgusted with politicians in general and Lance in particular," he said.

“This isn’t a matter of Republican vs. Democrat anymore,” he said. “This is the incumbent vs. 'We the People.'"
Alonzo "Lon" Hosford, of Alexandria Township, said the Tea Party movement inspired him to run for Congress and get rid of of career politicians.
"The government has abandoned the Constitution. We no longer understand what it means. ... It’s buried under thousands of pages of legislation that are not constitutional," Hosford said.
