Jerry P. Bush, 53, assaulted the victim, who was younger than 13, from 2003 to 2005.
An Alexandria Township man has been found guilty of sexually abusing a child over the course of two years. The Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office announced today that Jerry P. Bush, 53, was convicted Friday of first-degree aggravated assault, second-degree sexual assault and one count each of first- and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child during a seven-day trial before Superior Court Judge Stephen B. Rubin in Flemington.
Bush was initially charged after a relative of the victim, who was younger than 13 at the time of the assault, brought photos of the victim engaged in prohibited sexual acts to police. Authorities determined Bush took the photos, and the victim later told police that he had assaulted her between 2003 and 2005.
The jury deliberated for four hours before reaching a verdict, according to a news release. Sentencing is scheduled for October.
