Raritan Township police and New Jersey State Police are investigating chat room postings.
Thomas Pirretti, 27, of the first block of Timberwick Drive in Raritan Township, faces charges of endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly possessing and distributing child pornography, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office announces this morning.The Raritan Township Police Department and the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes against Children Task Force investigated information that Pirretti was allegedly posting child pornography in an Internet chat room, the prosecutor's office reports.
Pirretti was arrested June 11 on second-degree distribution and fourth-degree possession charges. His bail was set at $50,000.
The investigation is continuing, the prosecutor's office says in a news release.
